Get out there to travel, learn, enjoy, and leave each place better than when you found it! What have you got to lose?
I never traveled as a child except to visit nearby family. At 22, I went on my first international trip. Seeing the beautiful and pristine beaches in Jamaica then going off the tourist path to see the abject poverty all around really opened my eyes.
Though I love reading, there is no better way to learn than an in-person experience. Now I've been to over 40 countries and my "travel bug" has shown no signs of slowing down.
Having worked a 9-to-5 job for many years, I've decided to commit to my continued education of seeing the world. I'm planning to move abroad in a few years to slowly travel the world with my dog, Jagger.
It's exciting and terrifying but I've found that I grow so much more as a person when I scare myself a little and step outside my comfort zone. I don't just want to visit for a week or two on vacation but I want to live it while giving back where I can.
I'm so excited about My Flying Leap!

Culture Buff
Culture and history are my sweet spots, particularly historic architecture. Show me a magnificent church or a crumbly, old castle and I'm in heaven. Tell me the history of it and I may just swoon.
Nature Lover
Hiking through a jungle, boating in a lake, or swimming through a river. As much of a city girl as I am, I simply can't do without my time in nature. There is nothing more beautiful and perfect. Bonus points if it's around water.
Food Connoisseur
Learning about a new culture through its food is fundamental to truly understand a place. Serve up a plate paired with a local wine and invite new friends to join. It doesn't get much better than that.
Bucketlist Bandit
There are so many amazing places to see that I read about as a child. Machu Picchu, the Giza Pyramids, the Eiffel Tower, Neuschwanstein Castle. With every bucket list item I check off, two more are added, and it's exhilarating.
