Centrally located in beachfront town Pantai Cenang, Red Tomato offers a cozy indoor lounge and leafy outdoor area to enjoy a casual drink or meal with family and friends. Red Tomato is one of the few restaurants in Langkawi serving western-style breakfasts as well as gluten-free and vegan alternatives for most dishes - yes, they even have vegan cheese!
Breakfast options include eggs benedict, healthy breakfast bowls, toasted croissants, and pancakes. Main meals center around pizza and pasta but you can always go for a salad, fish fillet, or gourmet sandwich instead. You won't find a traditional pizza menu here. Instead, choose either a tomato or basil pesto base and add your own toppings like olives, mushroom, salami, beef bacon, or feta cheese.

Backstory
A family owned and operated business founded by German, Tanja and Malay, Oli. The duo first opened a backpackers' hostel which expanded to include a breakfast and coffee menu when guests frequently requested a morning meal.
Tanja and Oli then opened the Red Tomato Splash Beach Café from 2004 to 2008, when it became apparent a larger location was needed. Red Tomato's current location opened in 2010 and has been a popular place for tourists and expats to enjoy traditional European style meals ever since. The restaurant's unique interior was designed by Oli, who is also an artist. Pieces of his artwork are often displayed inside the restaurant.
