Backstory
Waterbom Bali was constructed in 1993 to provide Bali's tourism industry with a waterpark that complimented the natural environment. 50% of the park grounds remain a green space incorporating several endangered plant species.
The waterpark soon became one of the most popular tourist attractions in Bali and has won several awards, most recently including Trip Advisor's Travelers' Choice Award for the Best Waterpark in Asia for 2017 and 2018, and the World Travel Awards' Asia's Leading Waterpark award for 2017 and 2018.
Etiquette
- Wear proper swim attire. Make sure boardshorts don’t have zips or metal attachments that could snag or damage equipment.
- Wait patiently if there is a queue for your chosen waterslide.
- Follow instructions for each waterslide as some require mats, some inflatable tubes, and others no mat or tube.
- Smoke in non-designated smoking areas.
- Run in the park as the pavement is likely to be slippery.
- Swim after drinking large amounts of alcohol.
