This candy store's super fun, cow theme was inspired by its location in small country town, Cowaramup, a 10-minute drive north from Margaret River. Confectionary like fudge, rock candy, honeycomb, and chocolates are made onsite, meaning they're extra fresh and doubly delicious. There's always a selection of fudge, nougat, and other sweets available for free tastings, and a window to catch a glimpse into the sugary production process.
If you have a favorite Australian or international sweet brand, you can probably find it here too, but do try the hand-made local varieties! Children will love the shelves of brightly colored candy while your own inner-child will delight in old-fashioned sweets like musk sticks. If you prefer a sugar-free diet, pick up a plush cow toy, mug, similar souvenir instead.

Backstory
Candy Cow was established in 1990 by two former school teachers, who chose to create and sell home-made sweets using local produce and their own special recipes. The family business soon became a popular stop on the southwest tourist drive. From originally making only honey crunch, nougat and fudge, the store now offers over 100 varieties of sweet treats.
Cowaramup is affectionately called 'Cow Town' by locals, but the full name is believed to be an Anglicized version of 'Cowara', the Indigenous word for a native bird - the purple-crowned green lorikeet which feeds on the nectar of flowering Eucalyptus.
