If Langkawi is the ultimate tropical paradise, then Rebak Island is the beach getaway of your dreams. The 390-acre private island is a 7-minute boat ride from Langkawi's Port Cenang and home to only a marina and 5-star resort.
A stay at this resort is the definition of luxury. You'll eat like a king or queen with in-house chefs specializing in Indian, Malay, and Thai cuisines, then relax your full belly by the pool or on the private beach.
If you think relaxing is the only thing to do on a private island, think again. The resort houses tennis, squash, and badminton courts, beach volleyball, and bicycle and kayak hire. Guided activities include cooking classes, fishing excursions, and nature walks to look for local monkeys, hornbills or monitor lizards basking in the mangrove forest.
The resort is split into 2 wings, the first containing traditionally-inspired wooden chalets while the second has more modern concrete chalets, still fitted with Malay-style wooden furniture. Guests in both wings wake up meters away from waves gently lapping at the shore. It doesn't get any better than this.

Pantai Cenang (Chenang Beach)
Langkawi’s most tourist-friendly beach. This 2km stretch of soft white sand is lined with coconut trees, beach umbrellas, jet ski vendors, and beach bars. By day, sunbathers, swimmers, and watersport enthusiasts dominate the sparkling shoreline. As the sun softly sets, a series of beach bars become the center of attention as beanbags and cocktail menus are brought onto the sand.
