- Dietary requirements are best managed with advanced notice. Inform staff upon check-in to be sent a custom breakfast menu. Vegan, vegetarian and other dietary requirements can also be catered to at Starz Diner with prior notice either to reception or the restaurant.
- Arrive at breakfast before 8:15am to avoid crowds and a potential wait for a free table.
- Pool hours are 7am-9pm. The quietest section of the pool is the lagoon, located past Pizzeria (east end of complex). Few guests realize the pool extends this far.
- Hire an electric Fender guitar to jam out in your room through Hard Rock's complimentary Picks program. Orders can be placed at Tabu Teen Club.
- 6 cabanas are located alongside the pool and cost RM60 (USD$14.37) for daily hire (9am-8:30pm). Cabana hire includes 2 bottles of water and a fruit platter. All cabanas have a sound system so bring an AUX cable to play your favorite tunes.
- Hear juicy backstories of the guitars and outfits once donned by music legends that now grace the lobby area on a memorabilia tour. Tours run at 11am every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, meeting at Tabu Teen club.
- Direct access to Batu Ferringhi beach is available at the pool area. Only swim in the sectioned off area to avoid accidents with jet skis. Jellyfish are common at the beach, report to the towel stand if you are stung for vinegar spray.

COVID-19 Response
In response to Malaysia's Relaxed Movement Control Order (RMCO), Hard Rock Hotel Penang has implemented the Safe + Sound program to prioritize hygiene, encourage social distancing, and comply with governmental SOPs. Specific measures implemented include:
- Sanitization of guest luggage upon arrival.
- Issue of welcome packs upon check-in containing a mask, hand sanitizer, and sanitation wipes.
- Implementation of digital check-in if required to avoid crowds in lobby area.
- Daily check of guest temperatures. Temperature-checked guests are issued a colored wrist band, mandatory to enter the pool and other public areas. Wrist band colors change daily.
